Black Hat Versus White Hat for Quality Backlinks
When it comes to marketing online, there's just nothing like having a good rating with a search engine like Google. In fact, you can spend hundreds of dollars on a web design and be doing everything else right, but if you don't spend time doing a bit of search engine optimization, you are not going to reach your full potential. One of the ways that happens is to have quality backlinks in the cyber sphere. There are several ways that you can go about this and each has different pros and cons.
The first thing you have to do is break down the different ways to make this happen. In the industry, backlinks and SEO are classified two different ways. You may hear about white hat or black hat techniques. A black hat technique is much like cyber spamming your links. There are actually complete blogs or websites that are out there that are filled with these black hat links. They aren't exactly quality backlinks, however. People who crawl the web classifying and rating things have ways to pick out these links and often discard them completely from the analyzation process. Having spam links that actually make sense and seem to be written by an actual person makes it harder to detect. However, you may find that other avenues actually produce more results.
When you move on to white hat techniques, these will be things that actually have value on their own. You may write an article or blog post that has interest to a general population or niche. In this article you will embed your quality backlinks. Articles such as this can be placed on sites such as ezine articles, ehow or another article specific site. You can also place them on a blog. The main thing here is that the article needs to provide actual and valuable information for a web crawler. The links give you Internet face time, so to speak, but the content will stand on it's own as well.
When you go to promote your product, service or website, you definitely don't want to spend a bunch of time and money on links that are not going to be ultimately effective. It does take a bit more time to create quality backlinks, but the better your material is, the more rating you will receive from search engines and web crawlers. Take the extra time to get the best results.
